DAY-HIKE TO LOMA DE LAS PIZARRAS
One of the most unique views of Fitz Roy with a bit of Cerro Torre. However, it is worth the effort. Very demanding hike.
The trek begins in the village of El Chaltén. We start our hike in the head-trail to Laguna Torre and, after approximately two hours on flat terrain, we begin to ascend a rocky trail towards the Loma de las Pizarras.
After arriving at the top, having a well-deserved break and admiring the views, we descend by the same trail we ascended through.
Distance of 16 km round trip.
Altitude gain of 1200 meters.
8 to 10 hour-hiking round trip.
